Public Display of Museum Models Occasional displays of mass modelling.
An early display at the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center by the Battleship Arizona chapter of IPMS. An effort to put the models into some sort of context is provided by the simplified carrier-deck background. Note that the stancheons cannot keep out little visitors.
A view of a different Battleship Arizona display, quite muddled and crowded, but the modeleers are also demonstrating their craft and answering questions, the act of which becomes a valuable and powerful interpretive element. The audience is fascinated.
